It uses a state-of-the-art AI model that works well on portraits, products, and objects with clear edges. Complex backgrounds or fine details like hair may show minor artifacts. For best results, use images with good contrast between subject and background.

The AI model (~10MB) downloads on first use from a CDN and is cached in your browser. After the first download, background removal takes 5-20 seconds depending on image size and your device speed.
